Expatriates and life planning

Life planning is the determination of what activities to do in the future for the benefit of one’s life. Through planning it is possible to utilize limited resources in a proper and efficient manner. Planning is a concrete plan of action to reach a life goal. Planning is essential to foresee and control obstacles to that goal and thus lead a peaceful life.
Don’t say expats don’t plan their lives. Their planning is limited to public works and thinking about when and where to spend their next free days. Not knowing what to make of the vast canvas of life beyond. Expat life itself is a collection of hopes, dreams and goals. Everyone comes to exile life with so many dreams and plans!
Living without proper planning is as difficult as finding a certain place in a big city without a map or without the help of Google. But it is easy to reach the destination if you have a map of the city. Living without hospitality is almost like this.
As with all things in life, there is no doubt that the time to say goodbye to expatriate life will come soon. It is good for every expatriate to plan what is essential for a smooth journey of life after expatriation and how to achieve it.
The bee is the smallest creature with comparatively more brain cells among the creatures. Even they have been seen storing food supplies for future life. But the giant elephant and the tiger, the symbol of power, do not have such precautions and they are asleep until the next turn of hunger. What a great lesson in planning the little insect, the bee, gives us.
Asunram is different
Planning is essential in all areas related to life such as personal future destiny, financial planning, career-business-family planning. In the absence of hospitality, expatriates do not understand what to earn in life and what are the ways to achieve it. Having money isn’t the problem, it’s spending that money to prosper. So what happens if we don’t plan our life/time which is more precious than money?
Time, health, wealth and knowledge are the four important resources in human life. Those who plan these four correctly and lead their lives forward will be successful. How true is the great saying that if you fail to plan, life is planned to fail. Those who want a successful evolution of life will have planned life.
Planning can also be divided into short term and long term. Short-term planning is about things to be achieved in a short period of time. Once that is accomplished, another goal can be planned. But long-term planning refers to things that take a lifetime to achieve.
Determining the exact goal to be achieved in the future, deciding the actions for the realization of that goal, utilizing the resources available for it, and implementing things in a time bound manner. Here are the things to do in planning. Planning will help you to make your dreams come true while keeping your dreams in mind. Willpower, hard work and determination are also ingredients of planning.
Areas of planning
- Physical and mental health is an important factor to consider in planning. In the hustle and bustle of life, expats do not pay enough attention to nutrition, sleep, exercise and relaxation. As a result premature death, sudden serious diseases, lifestyle diseases like sugar, cholesterol, pressure etc. are increasing tragically. It also affects their mental health. Don’t forget that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
- Time is another area that needs planning. We only have a chance to live once on earth. Time is a precious resource that comes and goes only once. It is wise to use it for mutual success. Those who waste time on unnecessary things will not succeed in both worlds and will end up disappointed.
- Wealth is another dimension that requires planning. Financial self-sufficiency is the life aspiration of all expats. Expats fail financially because of rash decisions and lack of foresight. If the post-exile life does not have even a small fraction of the quality of life that it had during the exile, it will have to suffer psychological hardship.
- Another is the planning of things necessary to achieve a fulfilling family life, discipline of children etc. Children often go astray when they go abroad for the prosperity of their family. Marital life gets damaged. There are expatriates who are suffering because of the actions of their teenage son/daughter in the country. Open communication with the wife and children, family gatherings, observing the children’s natural tastes and encouraging them can create rapport.
It is as important as planning to have the patience and perseverance to execute it. Just as it is said that the cow in the eight does not sew the grass, it does not matter that the plans are hatched in the mind. Planning is a time-bound process of creative decision-making. It leads us to new ideas, breakthroughs and disciplines. Planning helps to anticipate and correct mistakes.
